The entry-level job market for US college graduates is the worst it has been since the pandemic, according to an analysis by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

The unemployment rate climbed to about 5.6% at the end of last year from an average of 5.3% during the third quarter. The underemployment rate rose to 42.5% – its highest level since 2020, the research found.
